Udon bowl
Udon is a traditional Japanese pasta, usually thick, made from wheat flour and frequently eaten with dashi broth (traditional Japanese broth made from kombu and often flavored with dried Katsuobushi bonito).
Depending on the region, the production method and cooking technique as well as the garnishes may vary.
But the udon itself tastes very simple.
Although often eaten at home, they are also served in family or specialty restaurants.
Still, they remain one of the most consumed Japanese dishes in Japan.
They are usually eaten cold in summer and hot in winter.
Equally important are the tsuyu broths or sauces that accompany them when tasting. Hot udons are often served from fairly deep bowls, covered with their broth and garnish.
