Manzairaku Kaga Umeshu, 5 years aged
Kaga umeshu is made from the famous and luxurious Japanese ume plums of the “Benisashi” variety, sugar crystals, distilled alcohol and the famous natural water of the sacred mountain Hakusan.
All of our Kaga Umeshu, unlike other umeshu on the market, which are mostly fermented, very rarely exceed 6 months, are matured for a minimum of 2 years.
They have all been selected as the best umeshu in Japan by the very serious NIKKEI Plus magazine.
Kaga umeshu is served first class on All Nippon Airways European and American routes and is served as a digestif when receiving the Nobel Prize.
The Manzairaku Kaga Umeshu shown here has been slowly matured for 5 years.
It has both a rich ume taste and a light, refreshing taste, all topped off with a clear flavor upon swallowing.
Tasting advice : over ice cubes, as an aperitif or at the end of a cheese tasting dinner (blue cheeses and other cheeses with character) or nuts
