Goshozakura Mirin Premium matured 3 years condiment
Goshozakura Mirin Premium matured 3 years
The texture is thick, but it has an elegant softness.
Even if you add a small amount to your cooking, it gives your dishes a more pronounced taste.
Two sakura cherry trees and two tachibana mandarin trees are planted in front of the Shishinden, the Ceremonial Hall of the Imperial Palace in Kyoto.
It is said that the sakura in Shishinden was originally a plum tree, but Emperor Ninmyou (810-850), who loved sakura, replaced it with a sakura after the plum tree withered. The Japanese love sakura, and Imperial Palace sakura are the noblest of all.
Our craftsman named this premium mirin "Gosho (Imperial Palace) Sakura" to protect and pass on Japanese traditions to future generations, and to give an appropriate name to the highest quality mirin ever produced by Kokonoe.
Our perfect combination : this mirin is particularly suitable for making topping sauces for grilled unagi eel, yakitori chicken skewers or for pan-fried vegetables, soups and stews.
