Koshu Aka Rice Shochu, 13 years old

This shōchū has been matured for more than 13 years in oak casks, under controlled temperature and humidity (conditions similar to those of the Highlands in Scotland).

Aromas reveal woody notes, citrus, walnut brouds, umeshu, tobacco leaves, young hay, ripe pineapple.

Palate is a caress of sweetness, with accents of fresh walnut, fresh pineapple, green pear, citrus, on a dry finish.

According to purists, this shōchū should be consumed at room temperature or on ice.

Box label and design are made by Keisuke SERIZAWA, living treasure of Japan.
