Several Japanese prefectures are famous for the quality of their somen, very fine, white wheat flour noodles.
Kichimi Seimen, based in Miyagi, had the idea of producing short somen, which are easier to pick up with chopsticks.
They are quick to cook - just 3 minutes in boiling water.
This 400g pack makes 4 servings.
Our perfect combination : they can be eaten either hot or cold, with a tsuyu diluted in water or broth.
