Barolo 2017 Andrea Oberto

Lovely intensity jumps out of the glass at you. Gorgeously fragrant with balsamic notes, cherry, raspberry and that classic 'tarry' edge. Lovely soft tannins. Supple and insistent but so well assimilated. On the palate there is a joyful riot of flavours - dark lines of soft tar and licorice and red roses too, all accenting the deep, soft berry fruit. Balsamic wafts again and a note of Asian spices - all delivered brightly with great push and intensity.

The fruit for this comes from 3 vineyards all in the commune of La Morra: Annunziato, Boiolo and San Francesco. Élevage is in a mix of big barrels and small.
